- Step 1
Set up the business
Business type, industry, revenue range, financial year, opening cash, the taxes you are registered for and the commitments that come round every month. Ten short questions.
- Step 2
Upload what you already have
A bank statement, supplier invoices and your customer credit book, as CSV or Excel. Templates are provided. Or start with the built-in sample business and replace it later.
- Step 3
Check the mapping
Aether shows which column it took for date, amount and description, flags rows it could not read and skips lines it has seen before. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
- Step 4
Read the dashboard
A health score, cash today, the 13-week closing balance, overdue receivables, payables due, the tax reserve to hold, and the five things to do this week. Every figure says where it came from.
What it will not do
- It does not file returns or connect to the Inland Revenue Department. Tax figures are planning estimates; confirm them with a qualified tax professional or the IRD.
- It does not guarantee credit approval. A funding pack is only as good as the records behind it.
- It does not replace bookkeeping. Keep your ledger where it is; bring Aether the statements and invoices it produces.
- It does not show one business’s data to another. Every query runs inside your organisation’s own row-level security, and the sample business is marked as such everywhere it appears.
Templates: bank statement, bank statement (debit and credit columns), supplier invoices, commitments, credit book.
